Why I’m Writing This Blog
Why This Blog Exists ?
When I first started learning mathematics, physics, and programming seriously, I often found myself searching for answers to questions that didn’t always appear in textbooks or lectures.
Questions like:
- How do you actually start doing research?
- What should I study first?
- How do you balance learning, exams, and projects?
- How do you know if you’re on the right path?
Over time, I realized that I was being asked these same questions by others as well — at events, in conversations, and sometimes even by people just starting out.
This blog is my attempt to answer those questions in one place.
A Guide for My Younger Self
At its core, this blog is something I wish I had when I started.
Many of the posts here will be written as if I am explaining things to my younger self — what to focus on, what to ignore, and what I wish someone had told me earlier. If it helps someone else avoid confusion or wasted time, that is a bonus.
A Record of Experiences
I also want this space to serve as a record.
Some experiences — competitions, events, research attempts, conversations — fade quickly unless they are written down. Writing about them helps me remember what I actually learned from them, not just that they happened.
So some posts here will simply be reflections on moments that mattered.
A Public Research Diary
Another purpose of this blog is to document my intellectual journey.
This will include:
- reflections on papers I read
- notes on problems I am thinking about
- summaries of ideas I am exploring
- occasional attempts to explain concepts clearly
I do not expect all of these thoughts to be polished or final. In fact, part of the point is to capture them while they are still evolving.
Bridging Interests
My work and curiosity sit at the intersection of several fields — mathematics, theoretical physics, AI, and quantitative finance. Many of the most interesting ideas I encounter come from the connections between these areas.
So some posts will explore those bridges:
- how olympiad-style thinking relates to research
- how physics intuition appears in quantitative models
- how computational tools reshape mathematical exploration
These posts are less about conclusions and more about exploration.
Building in Public
Whenever possible, I also plan to document what I am actually building.
This may include:
- notes from projects I am working on
- lessons from failed experiments
- tutorials that double as project documentation
- ideas I am still trying to implement
The goal here is not to present finished work, but to show the process.
Learning How to Learn
Occasionally, I will also write about learning itself — what works, what doesn’t, and how I approach new subjects.
These posts might cover:
- how I read difficult papers
- how I think about long-term skill building
- and academic writing
Because in the end, learning how to learn is probably the most transferable skill of all.
And Sometimes, Just Thoughts
Finally, some posts may simply be reflections.
Mathematics, research, and building things inevitably lead to larger questions — about knowledge, progress, and the role of curiosity itself. When something feels worth thinking about, I’ll write it here.
In Short
This blog is:
- a guide for my younger self
- a record of experiences
- a public research diary
- a place to explore ideas across fields
- and a way to document the journey as it happens
If you’re reading this, I hope at least some of it is useful — or at the very least, interesting.
